From August 26 to 30, 2024, Seoyon E-Hwa participated in the ‘50th National Quality Innovation Competition,’ held at the Suwon Convention Center. The event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's Korean Agency for Technology and Standards, Gyeonggi Province, and Suwon City, with the Korea Standards Association serving as the organizer.


The opening ceremony featured several high-profile attendees, including Jin Jong-wook, Director of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards; Kim Seong-jung, vice governor of Gyeonggi Province for Administrative Affairs; Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Suwon; and Kang Myung-soo, Chairman of the Korea Standards Association. Over 700 quality management professionals from various industries were present.

The competition highlighted achievements in 18 categories, including carbon neutrality, ESG, smart factories, safety quality, equipment (PTM), maintenance management (EAM), Six Sigma, process improvement, indirect services, research results, service, win-win cooperation, learning organizations (CoP), case suggestions, free form (manufacturing), free form (service), big data/AI, and new product development (NPD). Representatives from 298 quality control teams from 189 public and private companies, involving 2,800 participants, came together to share their knowledge and compete.

Seoyon E-Hwa's Team Armor won the Gold Presidential Award in the research category for their project on "Research into Plastic Glazing Technology as a Substitute for Reinforced Automotive Glass." Meanwhile, in the win-win cooperation category, Seoyon E-Hwa's Symmetric team and its partner Beomyang's Sinabro team jointly received the Silver Presidential Award for their project to reduce the defect rate in the door trim center panel process. Since first participating in 1996, Seoyon E-Hwa has consistently earned Presidential Awards, solidifying its leadership in quality innovation within the automotive interior and exterior components industry.


A Seoyon E-Hwa spokesperson stated, “We will continue to actively discover and support voluntary small-scale innovation activities within the company, in line with our ongoing E-novation idea contest. This will further our efforts to address on-site issues and enhance product quality.”
