On June 22, 2023 (Thursday), the labor and management of Seoyon E-Hwa held a “seasonal kimchi-making” event for older people living alone in the region.

Starting in June of last year, it was the fourth seasonal kimchi-sharing event, prepared with seasonal kimchi for each season. The Company prepared “yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi)” for this event, which goes well with summer food, such as bibim guksu (spicy noodles) and naengmyeon (cold noodles).

Yeolmu kimchi may smell like grass, so it needs to be rinsed several times and seasoned. As such, the labor and management of Seoyeon E-Hwa prepared the ingredients early in the morning and communicated with the participating volunteers while enjoying the kimchi-making event.


This kimchi sharing will be delivered to 50 seniors living alone. While the participants from the Company want to distribute kimchi to all older people in the region, there is only limited time and workforce. The Company hopes that the local seniors enjoy the kimchi and supplement their nutrition to take care of their health and overcome the heat wave nicely in the coming summer.

Seoyon E-Hwa will continue to make efforts to promote a sharing culture in the local community.
